This page lists my books of scales, chords, and other technical exercises for piano students. Like most sections of this site, I plan to grow this one over time. The works you find here will mostly be aimed towards those who are hoping to reach higher levels of piano playing. This is not to say that there is nothing here for beginners, just that technical work, in my view, should remain the domain of serious students willing to invest a lot of time in their playing. For the casual pianist, that time is much better spent playing actual music. Nevertheless, I hope to include here something for everybody.
A years long course of scales, chords, and arpeggios. This series of seven books is designed to take students from the very first stages of learning piano through to an advanced level of playing. Through this course students will cover scales, chords, and arpeggios in all major and minor keys through an efficient and effective series of stages where each stage prepares the student for the next and expands on what was learnt previously. This new approach allows students to learn in all keys simultaneously, making it far more useful than the traditional approach to learning scales and chords.
