In 2017 my father was diagnosed with mesothelioma, an aggressive and deadly form of cancer. The day after he informed us of his diagnosis I sat at the piano and began to write. It was my attempt to process my grief and to express to my father what he meant to me in the only way I knew how. Six months later he passed away. This was the last music he ever listened to.
